About the Founder

Carrie (The House Fairy) has helped transform peoples lives, by transforming how they relate to their space and their things. Physical clutter can distract and cloud the mind, taking away focus from what's truly important. There’s a sense of clarity and peace that comes from an organized space. With Carrie’s help you can get back time for the things that really matter: your passions, your family, and your health.

Carrie was a Nanny in San Francisco for 11 years. This experience has given her an unfiltered perspective of how families live day-to-day, the challenges they face and what it takes for a household to function smoothly.

In the summer Carrie can be found backpacking along the Pacific Crest Trail or on her bicycle, cycling thousands of miles throughout California. In the winter she can be found practicing yoga or meticulously sewing quilts out of tiny pieces of fabric.

Carrie does her best to live consciously by creating a minimal environmental impact. Her passion is to help others simplify their lives in a way that brings them peace and allows them to enjoy and live their lives fully.

Carrie’s work is amazing! We worked with her when we moved into a new house. While we were on vacation Carrie unpacked the moving boxes in some of the rooms (our kitchen, bathroom, bedroom). She came up with a system for how to organize the items in our drawers and cupboards. After our approval she bought the required boxes, dividers, etc. The we returned from our vacation everything was neatly labeled and in “the right place”. She also suggested what items we would not need anymore. The best part is we are still using Carrie’s system 2 years after the move. And we are still smiling every time we open a drawer and everything is where it belongs.

Carrie was wonderful! We’ve used her several times and she first helped us take on a full-house organizational project during Covid - making sense out of the madness. We initially planned to just do a couple rooms and ended up doing kitchen/living space, playroom, our master bedroom, bathrooms and all 4 kids rooms. She suggested baskets and labels and different categories for items so I can easily now find things on the go. Our kitchen pantry remains easy to find things and especially helpful if someone else is putting things away - as it’s all labeled and easy to find. Shoe racks that fit in certain spaces, bins for bathroom organization, revamped our closets, etc. She returned again a couple years later and help me tackle our garage! I will definitely use her again as needed as our kids grow older and we change out certain storage areas, sport equipment, etc. I highly recommend!
